The Lord of the Rings is an extremely good book by J.R.R. Tolkien. The main characters in the books are Hobbits. These creatures are about four feet tall with furry feet. The main hobbits in the book are named Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin along with Frodo's uncle Bilbo. These hobbits set out on a journey to destroy the one ring which was forged by Sauron, the evil lord of Mordor. The ring enslaves all those who wear it or one of the other rings of power. The hobbits are helped along the way by the wizard Gandalf, the Ranger Aragorn, Boromir, son of the steward of Gondor, Legolas, an elf, and Gimli, the dwarf. All in all it is one of the best books ever written. A movie was just made of it. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen!
